The G7 is the forthcoming flagship from LG and the successor of the G6 flagship. According to some recent reports, LG will release the next flagship phone with some elegant features like OLED Display, 18:9 Aspect ratio, powerful processor and so on. The South Korean tech Giant launched the G6 flagship in February 2017 and released in March. But a latest report from Korea indicates that the G7 device may come earlier than usual. So LG might announce the LG G7 flagship in February 2018.
According to The Investor, LG is going to release its next flagships with OLED displays. LG V30 and G7 are also coming with OLED displays, according to the report. LG might introduce curved screen display with the next iteration of G series as, OLED Displays can bend. The Display size of the upcoming G flagship might be 5.9 inches. The LG G7 flagship may come with QuadHD Display resolution. So the screen appears gorgeous in VR headsets. Due to OLED technology, G7 delivers vivid colors and deep blacks. The Display of G7 supports the Dolby vision feature and HDR 10 enabled too.
Dolby image enhancing technology works by increasing brightness and changing colors to look more natural. HDR 10 also works almost in the same way of Dolby vision. So users of LG G7 can watch Dolby enabled, and HDR 10 enabled video from services like Netflix. LG may refine brightness, contrast and color gamut in its next flagship. So Black Point probably be improved in the G7 flagship.

LG G7 may come with dual 16MP Camera setup on rear with dual LED flash and Laser autofocus. On front, there might be 8MP Camera with f/2.0 sensor. Rear camera setup of G7 may support 4K video recording with HDR and front Camera may support FHD video recording.

An Industry official also claims that LG is going to use the SD 845 chipset in its next flagship Qualcomm is yet to announce the Snapdragon 845 chipset. Recently leaked report claims that Snapdragon 845 will be an Octa Core chipset with Cortex A-75 and A-55 cores. Qualcomm is going use BIG.little architecture with these cores. According to the report, Qualcomm is going to build Snapdragon 845 on 10nm LPP process, so it will be more power efficient. Snapdragon 845 also contains Adreno 630 GPU, which is more powerful over its predecessor. It may also contain X20 LTE Modem which is the Gigabyte class LTE modem.
According to Android Headlines, Snapdragon 845 SoC comes with X20 LTE Modem. Qualcomm announced the X20 Modem in February 2017 which supports great 4G speeds. X20 LTE Modem supports Cat. 18 download speeds up to 1.2 GBPS and Cat. 13 upload speeds up to 150 MBPS. The modem is built on 10nm FinFET process and supports 2x20MHz carrier aggregation. It also supports Qualcomm Snapdragon Upload+, VoLTE, HD and UltraHD voice features. X20 Modem supports LTE FDD, LTE TDD cellular technologies in addition to LTE-U. Integrated Dual SIM Dual VoLTE feature of the modem supports Ultra HD Voice for both device sim ports.
The Snapdragon 845 SoC supports Bluetooth 5.0 which is a major upgrade over Bluetooth 4.0. New enhancements of the Bluetooth 5.0 technology include 4X Range 2X speed and 8x broadcasting message capacity compared to its predecessor. So with Bluetooth 5 we can transfer large files quickly and connect with more number of devices. New Bluetooth technology also fully supports Internet of Things. So the experience of IoT will be improved with the LG G7 flagship with Bluetooth 5.0 support.

So it prevents short circuit and the damage of Type-C connector. With Intelligent thermal balancing, QC 4+ charges via coolest path and eliminates hot spots. Improved dual charge feature reduces charge time by about 15 percent compared to its predecessor. So the LG G7 flagship will charge faster and also at cooler temperatures.

A few hours ago, 9to5Google while tearing down the latest Google App 7.11, discovered the evidence of the next Android version. The source claims that APK file contains the code with the lines of Android 8.1 and API 27. Google may ship the final APK with this code or not, but this might be a clue about the next big update for Oreo.
So it seems that the LG G7 flagship is going to come with the Android 8.1 Oreo OS. The full features of the Android 8.1 will be revealed in coming days. According to some analysts, Android 8.1 might contain the fixes for some bugs like Car-Bluetooth and some minor improvements in performance and stability. The battery efficiency might be also improved in Android 8.1 Oreo.

According to Android Headlines Blog, the upcoming flagship System on Chip (SoC) from Qualcomm, is going to be clocked at 2.5 Ghz. The information comes from an Industry insider from China, so it seems that Qualcomm might stick with the same base clock speeds of Snapdragon 835 for its successor too. Previously, Snapdragon 821 maximally clocked at 2.35 Ghz and the clock speed is increased in SD 835 to 2.45 Ghz. SnapDragon 835 is 27% much faster than its predecessor and also energy efficient due to increased clock speeds and 10nm LPE node process.
Now if really, Snapdragon 845 comes with the clock speed of 2.5 Ghz according to the rumour, we may see only marginal increase in performance. But some rumours are flying that SD 845 will be built on TSMC’s 7nm process as per the recently signed agreement between two companies. If Snapdragon 845 is built on 7nm process, we will see massive reduction in energy usage and the chip size also decreases. All major flagship phones of 2018 like Galaxy S9, LG G7, HTC U12, Note 9, Xperia XZ2 and Google Pixel 3 will be powered by the Snapdragon 845 SoC. As these are still rumours, we have to take them with a grain of salt.

Some rumours claim that Snapdragon 845 chipset allegedly visits the Geekbench and beats Apple A9 chipset in single core benchmark tests. According to Sources like notebookcheck, Wccftech, Firstpost, the user ice-Universe of chinese microblogging site, Weibo originally posted this news. The latest chipset from Qualcomm, Snapdragon 835 scores around 2000 points in the single core benchmark tests while the new reports say that Snapdragon 845 scores above 2600 points in Geekbench 4 single core test. The Apple A9 chipset in the iPhone 6S scores 2500 in the Single core Geekbench 4.
The Apple A10 chipset in the iPhone 7 scores about 3400 points and A11 bionic chipset in iPhone 8 and X scores about 4100 points respectively in Geekbench 4 scores. So the single core score of Snapdragon 845 is much lower compared to the Apple’s latest chipsets but the multi-core score may be on-par with the score of A11 Bionic chipset from Apple. However, the multicore scores of SD 845 haven’t revealed so far.

Another leak through Phonearena suggests that Qualcomm is going to unveil the Snapdragon 845 chipset on 4th December. The event will take place at Snapdragon Technology Summit on Maoyi Island, according to a leaked invitation letter in Chinese microblogging site Weibo. So official details about the specs of the most anticipated flagship from Qualcomm which powers almost all next year’s flagships will be revealed in a few weeks.
Latest rumours claim that Snapdragon 845 might contain four Cortex-A75 cores and four Cortex-A53 cores optimized exclusively to provide 25% better performance than SD835. The chipset will be built either on 10nm LPE process or Samsung’s 10nm LPP process. Another futuristic feature of SD845 is the Qualcomm X20 LTE modem which supports 1.2 Gbps download speeds through carrier aggregation.
