LG G6 and G5 Android Oreo Release Dates
Although, LG started the beta rollout of Oreo for V30, there is still no word about the Oreo beta for G6. Most probably, it is because of the older chipset of G6. The Snapdragon 821 chipset powers the G6 flagship and it might be the reason behind the delay of Android 8.0 rollout. Anyway, the G6 flagship will receive the update but the confirmed rollout dates haven’t been revealed yet. Latest news about LG Oreo rollout suggest that the Android 8.0 rollout for G6 might start before the end of April or May 2018.
LG G5 is being powered by Snapdragon 820 chipset and there is little difference between SD820 and 821 except in clock speed. So the Oreo rollout for G5 might start soon after the rollout for G6. Most likely in Q2 of 2018, the initial rollout of Oreo for G5 will begin.
LG V30 and V20 Android 8.0 rollout
The LG V30 flagship owners in South Korea already received an early build of Android Oreo. But the final rollout of Oreo hasn’t begun. Most probably in late-December or early-January, the full rollout of Android Oreo to LG V30 will begin, according to the latest news.
Android 8.0 Oreo might be the first and last Android update for LG V20. The rollout for V20 possibly begin in Q2 of 2018, according to latest estimates. But the rollout dates may later vary due to unforeseen technical issues. So the confirmed rollout dates of Oreo for V20 will be revealed in coming days
