As Google bought some of the Mobile-division of HTC, some rumours are flying that U12 will be the last flagship from HTC. The deal value of Google and HTC is about $1.1 billion and with this deal Google will be able to build better future Pixel flagships to rival against Apple iPhones. According to TechRadar, a HTC spokesperson said that there are working on the 2018’s flagship. But there might be no flagship from the Taiwanese firm after 2018 as they are trying to focus on mid-range and entry-level devices, according to the source.

The Taiwanese tech giant may release HTC U12 with multiple stunning specs like UltraPixel Dual Camera, Innovative design, Snapdragon 845, 6GB Ram and Android 8.1 Oreo with Sense UI, Alexa Assistant. Now we will roundup some of the leaked features of the next flagship from HTC.

HTC U11 sports 5.5 inch Super LCD5 Display with QuadHD resolution. So the next flagship from HTC may feature 5.8 inch Super LCD5 Display with tiny or no side bezels to improve screen to body aspect ratio up to 80%. So consumers can expect the debut of new Display design from HTC like the Infinity Display of Samsung. The Display of HTC U12 probably feature 18:9 aspect ratio and QHD+ resolution.

As the modem built on 10nm process, it is very energy-efficient and consumes battery juice minimally. The modem supports Dual Sim Dual VoLTE, HD and UltraHD voice features too.

With 5×20 MHz carrier aggregation and 4×4 MIMO on three carriers features, there is a chance to see lightning fast download speeds in the upcoming HTC flagship. As the modem supports Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ Upload+ and 2×20 MHz carrier aggregation features, we will also see great upload speeds too. Qualcomm claims that Quick Charge 4+ will be 15 percent faster and 30 percent power efficient than its predecessor. With Quick Charge 4+, users can charge up to 50 percent in less than 15 minutes. Power dissipation through heat also reduced much in the latest iteration of Quick Charge.

Unlocked HTC U11 is currently priced about $650 in the US. So the HTC U12 flagship might be priced in the range $650 – 700. The official price-list of the upcoming flagship from HTC will be revealed in coming days.

Update on 7/8/2017 :

Some latest concepts of HTC U12 indicate that the flagship will come with the Dual Camera Sensor setup on both Front and Rear sides of the device. Recent reports suggest that Samsung, LG, Motorola and other tech giants are working on Dual Camera setup on the front and Rear sides. So it seems that HTC is also going in the same way. But we have to for the confirmation from the Taiwanese tech giant to believe in these concepts.
